About me

Hey! I’m Lindsay!
I’m a previous vet tech, mom of a little girl, and creator of From Four Legs To Two. I love to talk about animals. I grew up on a small farm. I’ve owned and worked with horses, all the way down to mice. I even had a chance to raise a baby deer. Animals are just a part of who I am.
After having my daughter it was very hard to juggle the emotional load and mental focus, the job as a veterinary technician required of me. I believe I was so dedicated to both, that I was spreading myself too thin. So, I decided to step away from the medical world of animals to focus on my daughter.
This hasn’t changed my love and dedication to animals. Now, with my daughter, I have been opened up to a whole new world of teaching the next generation my love and fascination. In this experience, it’s becoming clearer how much of an impact having animals in the lives of children can have. How it can help them grow into compassionate, accepting adults.
My goal with From Four Legs To Two is to help parents navigate pets with their children and how to feed a child’s curiosity about animals. While also helping children to understand and respect animals for what they are. With information on the correct care for pets and good interactions. It’s a wonderful experience, but it has a lot of challenges. Pets and animals have so many life lessons to teach, I want to help you get the best ones.
I hope you find value and love in my sharing here. Please feel free to reach out to me.
The Family

We are a small family of 3 living in Missouri just outside of a major city. Makes for an interesting bit of city/country life. We love to follow our passions and interest. The biggest problem usually is, that we have too many of them.

Pups

Chloe is the oldest pup at 12 years old. She was found in the city as a young girl. Not sure of her breed, all we know is she loves to snuggle. The soft and warmer the bed the better.

Demon aka Demo is the big boy of the house. He is a Cane Corso Mastiff mix and is in 100 something. He is so sweet. The only one of the dogs I trust around the chickens. Demon sadly passed in September 2021 due to stomach cancer. Rest easy gentle giant.

Rigby is the youngest. We adopted him soon after the loss of our previous dog, Mini. I love border collie mixes and just couldn’t help myself. He is a border collie Anatolian Shepherd mix.
Bunnies
Milo and Flower are the two bunnies of the house. Milo is the brown Holland Lop boy, and Flower is the black Netherland Dwarf. We originally thought Flower was a girl, but she was a he. My daughter had no interest in changing his name after the discovery. Milo loves food and destruction, in that order. Flower is more interested in what we’re doing and loves a good pet on the head.
Dark Soul
Yes, our bearded dragon’s name is Dark Soul. I believe my daughter heard it on a YouTuber channel, “Cookie Swirl C.” It’s kind of fun to see people’s reaction when she says, “do you know what my bearded dragon’s name is? DARK SOULL!” Dark Soul mostly does his own thing. Even though we tried handling him at a young age and he came from an amazing breeder, he doesn’t love change. He likes to observe us doing our thing. However grumpy he gets my daughter loves him the same.
Chickens
We have gone from big chickens to just bantams. Silkies are our favorite chicken! Also growing to love the colored eggs from our bantam Easter eggers.
